Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I take care of my candle?

It is very important to trim the wick free of any carbon build up and or existing soot before every use. Be sure to trim the wick before lighting.
  • How long should I burn my candle for?

For the first initial burn, customers should burn the candles for at least a minimum of 2 hours to ensure the entire top layer of wax has pooled and melted evenly to set a foundation for future burns. We recommend to burn your candles for no longer than 4 hours at a time. Always under careful supervision and away from any flammable objects or locations.
  • My candle has air bubbles and spots on the sides on the jar. How do I fix it?

Unfortunately due to the temperature and weather, we cannot control how the candle will react to different environments. If your candles show signs of bubbles or pockets on the side of the jar, it is very normal. Wax will expand and contract with temperature, creating air pockets. Customers do not have to worry though, air pockets will not affect the quality of our candles. They will still burn beautifully and smell great!
  • What are your soy candles made of?

Our candles are made of 100% all natural Soy Wax, free of all chemicals and dyes. Using a 6” braided cotton wick and scented oil fragrances, we try to deliver the cleanest product possible!
  • Where are your candles made?

Every single candle is hand poured, cured and hand packaged right here in the USA. Our work shop is currently located in Bloomfield, CT.
  • How long do your candles last?

Wicked Wicks candles will last about 60 hours per 11.5oz jar. If properly maintained with trimming of the wick prior to each use and burning for no longer than 4 hours.
